There are three branches of the government: the executive branch, the judical branch, and the legislative branch. Ask your child what the role of each branch is.

This month we are working on the following skills:

Math: We are learning to represent place values with numbers up to 1,000. Students have been assigned work on ThinkCentral to practice these skills.

Social Studies: Students are learning about government leaders and the branches of the government.

Science: Students are learning about animal and plant adaptations.

Welcome to second grade! I know we will have an exciting and productive academic year together as we continue to grow as leaders.
